There is more to walking the right path than simply knowing right from wrong. For most of us we figure it out for ourselves, without religious guidance but some need or are brought up in the certainty of religious moral dogma. Its ethical conduct by numbers.

By saying that killing, etc are obviously wrong -- you recognize that God has put a law of right and wrong into our hearts. (Some may by going against this law come to a point where this conscience has lost its voice as far as such are concerned.)
By admitting this, isn't it clear that human need God's guidance? Especially if you look at world conditions does this become obvious.
Thus, our intelligence permits us recognize the Bible as this Word of God inspired for our guidance. By obeying this word some will obtain life eternal. This is what the Christian religion is for -- that is its purpose. Unfortunately, the many denominations with so many false teachings may cause many to lose their lives(?).
I have made an attempt to go bytheBible here:

Hmmm... Wasn't it obvious that wholesale killing of Jews (or Kurds, or Gypsies, or peasants) and using them for human experiments was wrong? If you had lived in those various time periods and places, would you have done something to stop it with only your mere personal sense of morality? Or would the lines suddenly become blurred when the entire society tells you that "your" common sense is an over reaction, and that what they're doing is right? Because entire societies just stood by and didn't do anything about it. But, then again, I bet if it were you, you'd have done something about it. I mean, it's not like we'd do anything like that today, right? Like, the wholesale killing of unborn children, and using them for experiments? Somehow, maybe we do need God's word to remind us, both of what happens to be "obvious" to us at the moment, and what somehow doesn't.

I personally know people who go to church everyday, and yet they still cheat on their wives.
Whether or not a person is good or bad depends on that individual. Religion is just a guide. whether or not you choose to accept? that's up to you.
You would believe that everyone would know what was right and wrong. and I have no doubt they believe they are right even when they are wrong as it is human nature to be the hero of their own story. Hitler believed he was doing the right thing. Stalin believed he was doing the right thing. Bush too. Do you believe you are doing the right thing? without the perspective of others, or empathy for others, how can we truly know what is right or wrong.

People in general, need leaders. The same principle applies in laws. People need boundaries by means, otherwise, it's anarchy. And they need to be guided!

yes, some people do need it. i have in fact had someone tell me before that they needed religion to make them 'be good.' it's not obvious. people are not as sensible-and law-abiding-as you might wish.
