Do camels have rough or smooth tongues?

My friend said he read that people used to use camel tounges as a brush?

I found them rougher than a horse but not as bad as a cat's. I imagine if it's dried, it would make an okay brush.

Camel's tongues are rough. But I had never heard abaout the people using came's tongue as brush

its rough to grab the plants, often thorny, they eat in the desert
