I pray to the council of the seven monkey gods that I'm not outside when that happens.

It it were only for a moment, everything not anchored to the ground would begin to drift upwards at the rate of 1/2 gt (squared) Sorry - I can't write superscript in Yahoo, but it's the formula for the pull of gravity. That means in the space of a moment, everyone and everything would be 15 to 20 feet up in the air and, if gravity were restored, all would come down with a bump. The floating objects would include such things as newspaper stands, flower pots, cars, trains, buses and so on.

everything would no longer be on the surface of the earth...we would basically be floating with no sense of motion......not like the moon...the moon has some gravity because people can still walk on the moon...without gravity....it would be like you jumped but never came down. newtons law says "an object in motion will stay in motion unless acted upon" therefore...we will continue to move in the same direction forever....unless we miraculously have gravity again and are still in the atmosphere of the earth, or get hit by an astroid

Everyone would freak out. Imagine you are just hanging out and then all of a sudden everything around you is floating. I mean... oh my god. Buildings would collapse and powerlines would go out and when gravity was restored people would riot in the streets like they did in the NewYork blackout in '77. Everything would be a mess b/c everything would not land exactly where it started. *sighs* It would be the beginning of the end of man. We are too dependent on technology.

all the magnets would fall, and moving cars would go askew causing trouble, and nonenclosed water would fly up , the ocean would be unstable and cause floods , and after the gravity is back the large objects that have gone up will fall back and cause a great tremble much stronger than an earthquake and it would be like an apocalypse

We'll be dead for sure. Imagine if we have flown away from earth and suddenly the gravity comes back. I think we'll be seeing SMASHING BODIES on the ground afterwards. Lol. But that's interesting to find out though.

Depends how long, if it was just for a second then we probably wouldnt even notice it, if it was for like 5 minutes, that would mess a few things up, but not enough for any huge problems
