You can catch a CAT bus from McCarran to the strip
CAT/Deuce web site
http://www.rtcsnv.com
Go to "Ground Level Transportation 0"
The #108 Paradise
The #109 Maryland Pkwy South &
The #109 Maryland Pkwy North
all stop at McCarran
CAT fare
$1.25 one way
$2.50 24hr pass
Deuce
$2 one way
$5 24hr pass
The passes are interchangeable, but if you buy the 24hr CAT pass and then use the Deuce they charge you an extra .50c and give you another pass.
>It will cost you $3 to get from McCarran to a strip hotel if you use both the CAT & Deuce
If you're staying at a hotel on the South end of the strip, then it's like "terry m" said, take the #109 Maryland Pkwy South bus out to the SSTT(South Strip Transfer Terminal) and then transfer to the Deuce
If you're staying on the North end of the strip take the #108 Paradise and transfer at LV Blvd S to the Deuce.
If you want to go downtown, stay on the #108 Paradise or you could have taken the #109 Maryland Pkwy North bus to downtown.
The #108 stops at McCarran every 20 minutes from 4:30am to 2am
the #109 S stops at McCarran around the clock and most of the time stops every 12 minutes - sometimes there is 15 minutes between stops >between 1 & 4am the stops are every 1/2 hour
the #109 N stops at McCarran around the clock and also usually stops every 12 minutes, sometimes there is 15 minutes betweeen stops. >between 1 & 4am the stops are every 1/2 hour

Later: "I have ridden the 108 many times it does not go to the strip" >Not technically, but it does cross LV Blvd S(which is the strip) and you CAN trasfer to the Deuce(strip bus) there.
The "strip", Technically ends at Sahara Ave> the #108 crosses LV Blvd S 2 blocks North of the "technical" end of the strip. Bid deal, same street, same Deuce(strip bus)
"you should not ride all the way out to the SST" >it takes 9 minutes, and the Deuce bus leaves "usually" every 5 minutes or so >8 min is the stated max time between departures.
"You can transfer from the 108 at "Tropicana or Flamingo" yes and wait 15-20 minutes(in not such a nice neighborhood to boot) for the #201 or #202 west bound bus THEN transfer to the Deuce when they cross LV Blvd S(strip) >That "don't" make no sense to me, but them I'm just a simple country boy lol

I've ridden the 108 many times, it does NOT go to the strip. You can transfer at Tropicana or Flamingo to get to the strip though. That would be a lot quicker than going all the way down to the SST and getting on the Deuce.
There are also a couple stops along Swenson between Trop and Flamingo that you could walk to the Hard Rock Hotel from.
It costs $1.25
