Death is a certainty if you look at it as the end of your human phase. What happens beyond that point is uncertain but just think what a great adventure that last few moments will be, not knowing one way or the other until it happens. We all have to go so why not be excited at the prospect of a possible new existence? After all, if you die and there is nothing afterwards, you haven't lost anything because you had nothing to lose apart from existence in this world. BUT if there is something beyond physical life, imagine what a great start you will have if you are happy and excited about it.

Contrary to Star Trek, I think death is the "final frontier." I do believe in life after death, what it is, I don't pretend to know and I don't think anyone else does either. We may be convinced by someone else that "this or that" is the answer to life after death but everything we believe about it is just that...a belief, not a fact.
We know our body dies, what happens after that is a matter of speculations, religious theology, or blind faith. I believe we all have to find our own answers to the question of the immortality of the "soul."

Death is a certainty, your going to have to face up to whether you like it or not.
You can go peacefully, or kicking and screaming, but you going to go... its the one thing in life that is certain. Your body has only got so many heart beats, so much wear and tear, before it starts to fall to bits.

Death is certain for living things, no living thing came close to 1 million years, what makes you think immortality would be certain.

No one really knows what comes after death. Some people THINK they know, but none of us has really been there. Don't exclude any ideas, with a topic as unknown as death is, anything could be possible.

I am connected to oxygen 24/7 in order to keep going. Although I am not religious certain things have happened in the past which have convinced me that when the body dies we will go on. How or what or where I don't know, but it is that knowledge that faith(if you like) which makes my present situation much less scary.

Death is certainly the end of our body and consciousness as we know it! After that - who knows?
Still I'm in no rush to find out what's on the other side!!

I think my Gran may have a pretty good idea of the meaning of death, god rest her!
(British Sarcasm) not that I'm apologising.

Nobody is certain. But they like to think they are. Certainty is kinda like faith, facts are optional. I hear dead people are certain, but they're keeping it to themselves.
Thought is energy. Energy does not disappear. Where does it go?
