It would have to be Mister Rogers. His voice soothed me as both a child and an adult. I can't think of anyone who brought me so much comfort in my life!

Wow. Your question just made me really nostalgic.

I guess I'd want... my guy friend from eigth grade to tell me a story. (Weird, I know.) He had the softest, most gentle voice ever, but at the same time it was low and rumbling. It wouldn't matter what he said or what story he told, as long as HE was the one to tell it. I obviously had feelings for him.

He moved four states away last year. I miss him terribly.

That's a tough question. Maybe...Jeremy Irons, James Earl Jones,or Dustin Hoffman. I think I might chose someone else, but I really like all of their voices. I think they would read very animatedly/dramticly that would keep me interested. But hey, would could turn down the author of a book themself, say, JRR Tolkien or someone amazing like that.

Vincent Price. His voice had enough of that "creepy" factor to make me stay awake to hear the whole story. In fact, he might have to read me several stories, I would be so scared.

My Gramps was one of the greatest storytellers ever. He could have the entire room in total silence waiting for his next word. We would actually believe we could see what he was telling us. Plus, I miss him so much. He died 25 years ago.
Peace.

Kurt Vonnegut. He was one of the best authors of all time. He was a great satirist and fiction writer, but he took from his own experiences and put them in writing too.
