Because when you listen to people tell you what to think about the news, you are giving your consent to be used as a pawn.

well, in my never to be shy or humble opinion, i think that on some level, anyone who is a supporter is a warmonger or they would be supportive of looking at some different, more creative and hopefully more intelligent possible solutions.
warmongers don't really need a logical or reasonable motivation for their support as much as they just sort of need to be pointed in the 'right' direction by the 'right' people! i think they are motivated by emotional, fearful primal things....and apparently they out number those of us who would have an end to this atrocity yesterday if possible, by quite a few at this time....although everyone i know, to a person, is not fooled and wants an end to it also!, and i think they are very representative of the average american population.
as far as the expense in terms of dollars, i don't trust them to be honest with us about the amount spent any more than any thing else they haven't been honest about!
their own cabinet is bailing on them now, isee it as a natural result of the way this whitehouse has been doing politics....and yes, i've always had the feeling that the reason we haven't seen or heard from cheney very much during this administration, was because he's doing some powerful power/money plays behind the scenes, so to speak, while bush is doing the public shuck and jive....but that's just what i think

Exactly how are war supporters being used?
When a contract comes up for major overseas reconstruction, how many companies besides Haliburton can you name that have the manpower, equipment and logistics to perform the projects?
You obviously have your mind made up and pretty much think that the war on terror is somehow just a distraction while the elite steal all of the money. Have you considered that perhaps the Islamic militants have slaughtered enough innocent people with pretty much impunity that maybe someone ought to confront them?
And your contention that this is a "lie based war" is really getting old. If that statement had any validity what so ever, Bush would have been impeached long ago, and you and everyone else knows it.
