My mom named me & my twin sister Candy & Brandy. People surely did tease us, but it's not our fault. People on here say our names sound like stripper names. In addition, my mom was schizophrenic.

Kids will always find something to tease others about whether it be their name, their clothes, their hobbies, etc.

In school I was friends with identical twins, Candice and Brandilyn (Candi & Brandi). I don't recall them being teased about their names. Me, on the other hand...I was definitely teased about my name. :-)

Kids will always find a reason to tease but having your names probably just made it a little easier for them to come up with ways to tease you. But I am sure there isn't a name out there that kids don't find a way to make fun of in some way or another.

Like said on the last question. Brandy is ok because its common. But People may have hard time with Candy. I know a set of twins named Cherry and Sherry. I grew up wanting to be Cherry. It a depends on how you take. People will find anything to pick on because that their imperfection.

Thats odd. I knew twin girls named Denim and Lace (with a sister named Pearl and a brother named Cotton) and they werent made fun of. They got odd looks from new teachers and substitutes, but that was it...though I dont know what the reactions of people are now that they are adults...I mean, afterall, it is difficult to imagine a lawyer or other professional with the name Denim.

It's always a possibility i guess... but the truth is kids will almost always find a reason to tease each other. The fact your names ryhme can't help matters. I went through grade 2-6 as Meggie Moo Moo Cow... despite the fact i was small. What matters is if YOU like your name.

I think those are cute names. Very cute. They rhyme but are easy to tell apart.

Kids who tease others in school were very unhappy during that time and the only way they knew to stay "on top" was to try to drag others down. I hope, as adults, they have learned a better way.

Kids will tease anyone for anything. It's their way to prevent getting teased. They might have used your names to tease, but if you didn't have those names, then they would have found something silly to tease you about as well.
