No he should have been required to serve a sentence near the one that he would have forced the players to endure. He should have to make restitution

Nope. He should be in jail for longer.

What he did to the Duke kids in unforgivable; he ruined their lives. That he lied to the court in the process is why he should have more time in jail.

It is a token sentence -- just enough to be able to establish procedural thresholds since he has now served time in jail.

It is the least part of his punishment, given what else he has lost (or had taken, depending) over the course of this event.

Being a North Carolinian and rabid Duke fan, I'm disgusted....but not surprised. They've got different laws for law makers, enforcers, and practitioners, don't you know?
