Nothing. It just means that the egg is from the right ovary.
It doesn't mean that your baby will be a certain gender. It doesn't work like that.

This information can not help you determine the gender of the baby. The doctor can tell that the egg was released from the right ovary because a cyst, called the corpus luteum, is visible on the ovary where the egg was released from. This cyst sustains hormone levels in very early pregnancy.
It is the father's sperm which is the deciding factor in the gender of the child-whether that sperm carries the X or the Y chromosome. The egg has nothing to do with the gender.
I hope this helps! Congratulations, and it will not be too long before you can find out what you are carrying.

I've never heard an Ob saying which ovary an egg is from... but the sex of the baby is determined by the guy's sperm. So you cant find out right now. Around 20 weeks you'll get an ultrasound and if the baby co-operates you will get to find out what your having (if you want to find out)

The man (well the sperm the egg decides on :-) determines the sex. So really it means nothing at all.
If you hav a US there's a dip in the ovary that released the egg that's all

That means absolutely NOTHING. Remember, it's the sex of the sperm from the daddy that makes the choice.
It's scary to me that you are having a child with this little knowledge of human biology.
Sorry, don't mean to be mean. I'm amazed.

The sex of the baby is determined by the chromosomes carried in the sperm so that has nothing to do with it.
