There are many sections in Yahoo answers. Many are boring and almost died while some are a live and interesting. Who makes this difference ? is it a company or a country or the people who contribute ?

First of all,

Secondly,
which makes the difference is ....
the company of the contributors .....
of course.....
not the Government ,esp. ours (yaaaaa3) :-D
I do confess that our Egypt category is blessed with such a wonderful company ........
full of "pure" and "respectable" love and high sense of humour.
our category also is full of haters and clones who do envy our love
I think the best way to handle such haters is.....
IGNORE TOTALLY ........
never say "ohhhh... I hate you ... you are haters"
instead .....
" I really don't care ....... and a Big Fat ToooZ"
as for me :

No, it hasn't driven me to other sites...but it has made me very wary. And very sad. I was away from the computer for a long time. Just recently came back because there's a lot going on in my life right now and I need the distraction. And the sage wisdom of people my own age who made it through similar situations. And just simply the familiar lightheartedness and chuckles that were always abound here in Y/A Seniors. As for the one who causes so much trouble, I'm sorry to see he's still around. And it's crazy that he's been getting away with this for years now. Wanna hear something funny?.....I finally got my first two violations~ever!~within the last month or so. Didn't hurt me a bit, lol, but there's no doubt where they came from. Thanks for posting this question and giving everyone a chance to speak out. It's been a while since I've seen some of these long-time members...and there are even a few other familiar faces/names who acknowledged their approval by leaving stars. Have one from me, too, Spike. You earned it!

this is a wise question.
sections are interesting or otherwise bec of the contributers , the people who populate them,and the visitors who choose to ask or answer them.
your question reminds me of an idea that crosses my mind when i visit a foreign country.
sometimes i find that the people are nice, whereas the government isnt.
in another country, i find that the people are boring , but the government is caring, doing all it can to provide comfort and security to every individual.
in a third kind, i find that both the individual and the government are alike, rigid and stiff or making life as pleasant as can be.
how? why?
i dont really know .
i can name the examples,but this will annoy some .so i'll keep this to myself , and leave your imagination to work.
but just a simple example. when im in the UK , i find that both government and the people alike are fair, objective,broad minded, free from prejudice, caring, etc.it's a country in which i walk at any time in the streets without fear of anything or anyone. it's a free country .
the egyptian section is interesting bec the contributers are at ease, they speak their minds. we are natural.this brings out the best from us.

For sure People who contribute but also the country as many of non Egyptians users come to this section just to know more about Egypt before knowing anything about users here.

At first I though hey, this is a bit of a strange question!
Then I went and checked out your link and the answers to that question. Hey man take it easy. Maybe you need a rest or something, coz the back ground of your question makes you really sound paranoid.I'm not trying to be smart or nasty or anything like that. Its just an honest appraisal of what I see posted on the question page.
Of course it is the people who make the site an interesting or dull to come to.
Because I don't think Mr Mubarak or any of the Egyptian Government Tourism Department has posted a question in ages!
Neither has Mr Blair or Mr Bush unless one of them was Aslaama,!Maybe Mini Mo is really Condaleeza!
Come on Wise Heart be wise. I haven't been here long but Ive seen some great answers from you and usually really honest and fair ones.

i think having common problem or agony , or even common joy for example i wish we were here together when Egypt won the African cup last year it would have been fun , i tried other sections they are really cold and they do ask questions and need answers , but we here we don't we just have open discussions , i never cared to read others answers in other sections but here i read your answers and enjoy each of them i wish more Egyptians join it , we have sense of humour and we have common suffer in our country so EAST WEST EGYPT SECTION IS THE BEST WOOO

i think it's in the people who contribute in the section....they make the section active and alive and interesting for anybody to come and stay for a while...

The people. They ask, answer and discuss. Our section is lively and interesting thanks to the contributers with the exception of you know who!!!!!
