Every time I ask a political question, I get nothing but ranting from many of my Liberal responses. For example, I asked a question about what Billary Clinton has actually accomplished as a Senator. The response? Bush is awful, Rusch Limbaugh, Republican stink, etc. Another question-Which was worse, Craig in the BR or Kennedy letting a girl drown. Answer? Laura Bush, Right-wing nuts, insulted I used Billary and not Hillary, etc...So, through all the Libs ranting I rarely seem to get an answer to the actual question that was asked ......Are the Libs really "Answer" impaired or Is it that they have no ideas and really can't stand behind the facts??

~olmwoomwio~your slip is showing! You are so impressed with yourself you most certainly ARE a Lib, aren't you?? Is there space for anyone else on "Answers" or does your inflated ego take up all the room?? Thanks for the good laff, I needed that after reading about Billary all day!

oim....I read some of your answers, and thought I'd find some sincere, well-though out responses. Instead I found sarcasm not much different than mine. For all your bluster you're really just another lib full of hot-air that has nothing useful to offer even though you claim you do. No idea's and certainly no sense of humor! And what is with you and "debate?" I challenge, I won.......debate, debate, debate. When you grow up and actually obtain knowledge come see me......

Yes. There is no appropriate temperature for the earth. However, there is an appropriate temperature for the biosphere to survive and we must remain in that range or life dies off. Though there are no hard numbers for what that range may be because we often find new organisms that push the limits of heat and cold tolerance. For the largest part of the biosphere the "appropriate" temperature is were photosynthesis can occur and convert sunlight into sugars. There is also an appropriate temperature range where our economy has evolved to function. This temperature is where this agriculture functions. If we increase the temperature where our global economy can no longer take advantage of productive arable lands, it all over for a large portion of the planet's human population. We simply can't move agriculture to northern regions since the soils in those region are far too thin and acidic and it would take generations to condition the soil for use. Not to mention the fact that if we did start moving into the northern boreal forest regions we will be cutting don't one of the planets great carbon sinks. We also have to consider the economy that we have built in vulnerable areas that will be affected by a warming planet such as New Orleans, Hong Kong, New York, Bangladesh etc.

They are not answer impaired, they have just been programmed not to answer with the truth. That means that they spit out a bunch of double talk until the average citizen either gives up or accepts B.S. as an answer. I did this myself, give up on the truth until I realized the game that was being played. I've always played games well, do not cheat under any circumstances and would really like just the honest to God facts when I ask a question. I do not want someone's opinion especially when their opinion is being paid for or supplemented in some way. Our official are supposed to be unbiased, informed and in pursuit of the truth so that they can lead the rest of us in a productive healthy manner that will enhance not diminish our lifes. This is not done anymore. They have forgotten the purpose that God enlisted them for and gone toward the padding of their wallets and achieving their own personal interests and desires. What a shame, literally. Think how wonderful this world would be if our leaders and educated experts in various fields were only out for the best interest of the majority. The majority doesn't have them living in mansions, sailing off on yachts, eating more than their share everyday and therefore has no importance to our leaders anymore. The majority doesn't give them what they want so the lie and decieve just to win the majorities vote to win. Then the truth is exposed. The truth that never errs on the majorities side of the perspective. Every election year all of us have high hopes that finally an elected official will stick to God's plan. The plan that would pull this world out of it's funk and put it back on track. No-one speaks the truth anymore and more importantly the public has gotten so disilluionened that they quit asking the right questions. Since that is happened, "the poweres that be" have acted with their own accordance. More, more and more for their beliefs and less for ours. I am exasperated with our public officials. How can they sail off etc. knowing that there are children in their own country going to bed hungry. I want one to answer that pure and simple question. Without doubletalk they are at a loss of words or ideas. They are being given the "big bucks" Why?

If the only two choices are "Answer" impaired or .... have no ideas and really can't stand behind the facts??", then the answer must be "answer impaired" (whatever that is), because some of us actually do have ideas and a command of the facts.

You, by the way, rambled quite a bit in the phrasing of your "question". In fairness, could part of the problem be that you are "question impaired"?

Also, for the record, there is no Senator named "Billary". I'm not insulted about it, you only make yourself appear foolish.

I know exactly what you mean! Every time I ask a political question, I get nothing but ranting responses from hate-filled, biased, bigoted conservatives. Sometimes I get nothing more than juvenile barbs; childish name-calling (like calling Hillary "Billary"); idiotic insults; and answers that are nothing more than gibberish (apparently because they have no intelligent, legitimate responses or ideas that can stand up to the facts).

In fact, here's Webster's definitions that might interest you:
CONSERVATISM: "a political philosophy based on tradition and social stability, stressing established institutions and preferring gradual development to abrupt change."
LIBERALISM: "a political philosophy based on belief in progress, the essential goodness of man, and the autonomy of the individual and standing for the protection of political and civil liberties."

Can you imagine a conservative that doesn't believe in the essential goodness of man - or a liberal who doesn't want social stability?? Sounds to me like there's a little bit of conservatism and liberalism in ALL of us. So why is there so much division and so little unification? Probably because we're all brainwashed by the 'con' and 'lib' talk show mouthpieces who blabber forth with hate-filled, bigoted, biased political propaganda that does nothing but twist our minds and darken our hearts. -RKO- 09/01/07

I really don't think Liberals are impaired. They have been brainwashed by the liberal media, and liberal college
professors.
They skipped, or slept through any history courses they might have been forced to take, so they don't know that Liberalism
HAS NEVER WORKED - anywhere at any time!!!
If they weren't so dangerous, they should be pitied, like lost
children.

You see the same behavior on both sides of the aisle -- a lot of people just rant, either because they don't know how to address the merits of the issue, or they think you're ranting so they rant back.

It's behavior that is not limited to one particular political party -- just a general problem on the forum that we deal with.

I tried to look at your questions but you have them hidden. Must not be much to see.

If you ask a question about "Billary" Clinton then you shouldn't expect serious answers.

It's not a matter of impairment, or maybe it is.

But,if at any point you choose to be objective about this subject, you will without a doubt see that this happens on both ends of the political spectrum.

Then apparently the Conservatives are also impaired. Rephrase your question to sound like a liberal and you will have conservatives all over your a--. I get bitched at all the time.
