Yes it should definetely be privatized or atleast a joint venture between the goverment and private investors. Unlike the above post, the guy doesnt seem to know what hes talking about at all, Social Security is at a point of failure. At current predictions, the Social Security funds will be dried up by the time the baby boomer generation retires. Just think, we have barely enough money to cover people in retirement now. In addition the largest American generation will be retiring soon adn we have one of the smallest generations to put money into Social Security. Social Security will be useless in the near future unless there are some private investors that can either put money into Social Security or a private Social Security funds organization.

Nope. Goverment does some things good and well that is one that they do a good job on. No need to give this to a special interest that will go broke.
