I found that used fabric softener sheets work very good for cleaning screens.

If you use a liquid cleaner, no matter what it is, spray it on your cleaning rag and not directly onto the screen. And don't saturate the rag to the point that it's dripping, just dampen it.

As far as your keyboad goes, make sure your computer is completely shut down, then take the keyboard, turn it upside down, shake it around with one hand and tap lightly on the bottom with the other.

Put it back down, then take a household vac with a soft brush attachment and go over the whole thing. Wipe the keys with a DAMP cloth also to clean off dirt and grime.

For the keyboard, compressed air works great. You could also try using a vacuum if you have an attachment to get in between the keys. For the screen, a slightly damp cloth works, just make sure its only slightly damp, you don't want any water to being oozing all around the screen. So it only has to be slightly damp, just enough so it won't scratch the screen. You could also try a cleaning cloth, like an eyeglass cleaning cloth, as they are designed not to scratch lenses.
