You couldn't be more wrong if you tried. Most democrats don't have a problem with gay people, that's the con's bigotry. If Craig had simply "come out of the closet" then it wouldn't be any big deal. What Craig did was plead guilty after being arrested trying to pick up an under cover cop in a john. He never told anyone, including his own party's leadership. There is nothing wrong with being gay. There is a lot wrong with looking for sex in airport bathrooms, gay or straight, especially if you're a member of the united states senate and you break the law doing it.

Nope, I haven't heard one thing from Democrats. They have been as silent as a tomb. The noise you hear is the Republican bums rush given to Craig by other Republicans.
Of course in Idaho a Republican governor will replace Craig with another Republican, so getting all holier than thou is okay there. But in Louisiana where Vitter would be replaced by a Democratic governor, even though Vitter, by his own admission frequented prostitutes, I guess that means its only a sin if a Republican does it in a Democratic dominated state.

Blaming a small minority is a political free-bee. A group who represents a small minority can always be made the scape goat. If you win the hearts of the majority, you win because you alienate a small minority. If you fail, well no big deal, there are bigger issues.
The Republicans proved this in the 2004 elections when suddenly gay marriage was the key issue.
Don't think that democrats are above this. It makes good political sense mathematically, at least in our democracy.
This is one of the flaws of democracy. But too bad we have yet to come up with anything better. I wish we could. Really.

No, its just wrong and disgusting when someone tries to get sexual in a public restroom where children could be present. And its not about being homophobic, its about the fact that he's such a hypocrite.

It's only disgusting when there's gross hypocrisy involved. If the Senator would just fess up and admit that he's gay and stop his anti-gay crusade, Dem's would have no problem with him.
What's up with Republican leaders and their inability to tell the truth? He accidentially pleaded guilty? Give me a break.
Craig is just another self-serving, worthless, self-hating, opportunistic, GOP operative who uses gayophobia to gain power. It's fitting irony that he is just the latest Republican hatemonger undone by the kind of hate he preaches.

Dhimmicrats refuse to think critically/examine and be held accountable for their own positions, therefore they show themselves incapable of leading the nation.
The Dhimmicrats will enable Islamic terrorists until the knife of sharia is at their throats, then they will squeal that the GOP "didn't connect the dots" or something...until then, they will squeal about Gitmo and profiling and the Patriot Act...

Giving/getting action in a public restroom is classless.
But personally, I think Craig is the typical politician (Republican or Democrat) and should have stayed in office.

I don't see the Democrats as being homophobic. I see the Republicans as being hypocritical. Oh, Craig you are a very nasty, dirty, naughty boy.

I haven't noticed any Democratic party leaders bashing Craig for what he did -- at worst, they bashed him for being hypocritical (which could apply to anything).
Mostly, it seems to be Republicans who are attacking him over the behavior itself.
Are there other sources you can cite to the contrary?
