You've got no time to waste between flights, and you really need to use the bathroom. Do you want to have to wait until the dudes having sex in the stalls are finished, or do you want to do your business and get on your freaking airplane?
Not to mention the fact that he started playing footsies with the cop!!!
If I'm in a men's room dong my business, listening to my ipod, tappin' my toes, I do NOT want the dude in the next stall to violate the neutral zone and start playing footsies with me!! He might suffer a broken tibia, or a few crushed metatarsals. God help him if he starts playing footsies with my son.

I agree.
I'm troubled by the incident too, because no evidence was leaked to the media except for the Undercover's interpretation of Craig's "signal" through movement of his feet, which touched (OMG) the officer's. On TV, I heard this publicity-seeking cop ask if this was "natural," then say he did not know. We had far more to go on in the Lewinsky scandal. Are we crazy or what?
Think about the precedents, though. Although this policy of preemptive police action didn't begin with Bush, when a President goes to war without congressional approval against a country that "might" harm us, or approves of the imprisonment and torture of those who "could" be terrorists, it sets a general tone for the rest of us that it's OK to screw up somebody's life for what they "may" have been thinking or planning to do. Craig is the latest example, and Democrats should be ashamed for piling on (ditto for Republicans).
This is not the country our parents grew up in... it's getting way too paranoid here. This policy of arresting potential "criminals" before they commit crimes needs to be stopped before we start throwing people in jail for what they think or say. Oh, wait a minute... darn, it's too late.

The big deal is Craig is an advocate for denying rights to gay Americans, he holds public office that wields its own power and he plead guilty to the 'false charge' he claims was made against him. . He is held to higher standards as a US Senator. He also tried to abuse his office by handing the arresting officer a business card denoting his title and asked "What do you think about that?", as if the charges would immediately be dropped. Its utter hypocrisy, thats all.

The big deal is not what he did, unless you are offended by sex acts in a public bathroom.
The problem with Larry Craig is that he is a strong advocate of denying homosexuals equal rights with other Americans. He is part of a party that actually gains power by putting down homosexuals, inciting fear and worry about homosexuals.
That's wrong, that's really wrong.

I think it was lewd behaviour and so did Larry Craig apparently because he pled guilty to it.
I used to go to parks here where Iive, in Iowa, but it's gotten to the point you can't go anywhere without weirdos staring at you, staring at your kids. The parks are a haven for people looking for someone to have sex with. I even saw two guys having oral sex when I took my nephew to the park to go fishing. Then, the cops started hanging around there. How would you like to take your kid to the bathroom and walk in on a couple of guys have sex? I hope you wouldn't like.

Everytime I hear about Craig, I think of the movie Brain Candy...
"Wally: Doctor, why do those types
[motions with hands]
Wally: keep thinking that I'm one of them?
Psychiatrist: Well, Wally, because you *are* one of them. You are gay. You are gay. You are a homosexual. The opposite of straight, you're gay. I know it. Your family knows it. DOGS know it! Everyone seems to know it except you."
The big deal, is that he got caught for being himself..then he denies his own actions..
Its a big deal, when you spend most of your life bashing other people's life choices, and come to find out, you dabble in those same choices...
Just another example of how the government should not dicate morality...

The only big deal is that he is a Republican Senator who doesn't advocate gay rights. Oh yeah, and he got caught. People have been doing this for years but since he's the senator he gets frowned upon.

It might be entrapment if the cop was the one signaling he wanted to bone another guy. However in this case it was the Senator who was giving the "palms up".

The big deal is that he is apparently embarrassed about it, and the members of his party are mad at him over it.
It has nothing to do with what he did, or what he plead guilty to -- it has to do with how his peers treated him afterwards.
And to a lesser extent, it's about hypocrisy -- which is another problem, independent of what he did in the bathroom.

If your 9 year old son was in the next stall trying to use the bathroom for its intended purpose would you still think it was cool?
