Type a zero where you want the degrees symbol, example: 66.32 0 C, highlight the zero, right click on the highlighted area, click font, then check the box that reads "superscript" in the effects area, then click OK. This will give you the effect you are looking for.

If you're using MS Word or Excel, choose "Insert" from the menu bar, and then select "symbol". Locate the degree symbol and select it by clicking on it. The short cut key is given, however, you can change it to something convenient like CTRL+2, which is what I use.

If you are using WORD, then go to the top menu INSERT and hit CHARACTER on pull down menu. That will open a table of characters. Look for that symbol and click on the box to "insert" it in the text.

Make sure Num Lock is on, then
1. hold the Alt key
2. press 0176 on the keypad
You should end up with a ° sign.
