I have the Sims 2 for my pc, but my cd drive will break anything that goes in it, so i downloaded an expansion pack but it says its not installed and it only applies to that expansion pack, whats wrong?? dont tell me that i havent installed it yet, cuz ive tried.
and is it cuz i need the original in there? can i download that too and will it work then?
in other words: a way to play the sims 2 and nightlife without any CDs. (downloading them perhaps?)idk!!
please help!!!!!

yes u need the original game installed to run an expansion ..

You need the base game installed before you install an expansion. You always use the CD of the most recent expansion you installed to play. So, you need to put the Nightlife CD in the drive, and it should work. Have you tried uninstalling it, and then installing it again? Otherwise, you might need to return it, and get a new copy.

Is your installed game the cracked version?
