are there any other theories aside from the big bang theory, that has a following of people who believe it and there is evidence to support it. or is the big bang the current one the has all of the evidence. also i don't mean religious theories but scientific ones. i know about the other universe theories, i was just wondering if there are other theories that are widely accepted like the big bang, again non-religious

No the big bang has overwhelming evidence and we can observe the Cosmic Microwave Background. That is the biggest piece of evidence found thus far. The mathematical predictions of The Big Bang are even more powerful.

I'm not a scientist, but I have read a lot about this and I haven't seen any other theories than the big bang. How the big bang came about is a different story. There are several hypothesis about that, but no solid theory yet.

The big bang had to originate from nothing.
Unless the universe is infinite [which it isn't] the big bang had to have occurred some time after time zero.
It had to originate from a potential, and the potential had to be finite,to have a trigger point.
A single space-time pulse resulted in the universe we experience to-day.
The nothing before an incident and a nothing after an incident must vary.
The preceding incident had to be finite, but the nothing after an incident [that never occurs again] enters a state of infinite nothing.
