Yes, and that is why we need a solution to our current system. There are business people making decisions that only medical personnel should make about health care. How is that ethical? I don't think it is. I want someone who is a doctor to decide whether or not I should have a lifesaving procedure or diagnostic test, not someone whose only consideration is the almighty dollar.

the health insurance companies have to go. Making profit on peoples misfortune is unacceptable. We should be helping each other pay our medical costs as a community...non profit. I have a problem when doctors run a business and make a profit instead a service and make a living. I have a problem when doctors and hospitals (AND insurance companies) spend OUR money on lavishly decorated offices and landscaping that does me NO good at all.

I am curious as to the basis for your "fact". I actually work for doctors and I can tell you that they care VERY much about their income and the fact that the government is dropping their payments every year. I think they would be happy to take profitsif they were available.
I know for a fact given who I work with that the insurance companies have no corner on the serious profit taking desire.

Yes you can tell us for a fact that the insurance companies are indeed recording record profits. That is no secret.

I think they want to blame each other. So we should blame them both.
