Am I correct in saying doesn't matter how many games U of M looses, juat as long as we win the LAST game of the season?

You know, normally that would be something close to accurate.
But this might be the BIGGEST upset in the history of college football.
The last game of the season may be OSU, not a bowl game this year.

Well, the opposite is probably more true of Ohio State, but I'm guessing losses to Notre Dame and Michigan State would sting as well.
Hell, I wouldn't count a loss to Illinois on October 20.

no we need to win more than 1 game. we need to beat our other rivals as well and also get a decent bowl.
