This is a really detailed question and for women only.
I'm 14. Lately, I was thinking about tampons and how they work. But the thing is, I can't understand where it goes into. I know there's one hole from where the urine comes from. But does that mean that there's another hole? Where is it? Is it behind the one where urine comes from? I don't even know where that one (the pee one) is. Please, kindly, explain without mocking me. Thanks.
I've asked my mom, but she said I should wait until my period comes. But I'd rather know from before it happens....
We also has Sex Ed at school, but right when we were getting to that part, a fire started in the school, and we missed the rest of the lesson.
Please help, thanks.

You should take a look at this diagram and then learn about your own body, either with a mirror or just with your fingers.

(It's a medical/teaching diagram, nothing to be afraid to look at.)
Your mom is wrong, she should be teaching you BEFORE your period comes so you can be prepared when it does. You're doing the right thing for trying to learn ahead of time.

I agree with answerer number one. But i would add, spread your inner vaginal lips apart and you will see an opening. the hole where your pee comes out is barely visible and very small - you might not even see it. It is directly below the clitoris. The larger hole - the visible one is your vagina. that is where the tampon goes. It may be tight and may not be able to fit very easily at first. Dont worry about putting it in the wrong hole, cause it won't go in your urethra (pee hole) there is no way it can ever get in there.

The urethra, where your urine comes from, is located above your vagina. The link below is a wikipedia cross-section of the female genitals.
You cannot insert anything into your urethra (well, maybe that's a kid answer.. you cannot easily insert anything into your urethra. It requires medical skillz.). When you are putting a tampon in, you are putting a tampon into your vagina.
If you can't talk to your mom about these things, ask a trusted female teacher, or your school nurse.

take a mirror and hold down there and you can see the hole you pee in and also the other hole where your vagina is, or you can feel down there to find it, just don't go to far back because thats your anus but if you take a mirror and open your legs, and hold the mirror down there you will see the hole where the tampons go. Hope that helped

Hi....
I think you should see a gynecologist for tampon education.
hough I never thought about it like that, I
guess there would be a problem if you don't really know
where things are
Tampons can be convenient, but can also cause problems in some women.
I used them in my late teens into my 20's, but started experiencing strange symptoms which sounded similar to Toxic Shock syndrome.
They stopped after I changed to pads.
Though bulkier, pads are made much better today than they use to be. I don't have problems with them now.

Ther are 3 holes:
the urine one, the vagina and the anus. The tampon goes in the vagina, which is behind the urine hole.

yes it behind the pee hole...tryin going online and looking for diagrams of the vagina...buy a box of tampons and there are instructions in the box..dont put a tampon in if your not on your period..its hurts alot and it damages your vagina...use a mirror to look at your vagina..you will see a very tight hole..this is where a penis goes when you have sex and where the babies come out of and where the tampons go...follow the directions in the tampon box..or look them up on the internet...please dont put a tampon in if your not on your period.. it may seriously damage the inside of your vagina...
ask your doctor about this also..please educate yourself about your body soon...when you get your period that means you are capable of having babies...you need alot of education about your body...your mother should be more open about talking to you about your body and all the questions you have..if you have anymore questions id be happy to answer them for you...dont listen to everyones answers about your body...good luck

The best thing to do is next time you are alone in the bathroom grab a hand held mirror and look down there with it. It's a good way to learn your own body.
