DIAPERS!! I got about six week worth of diapers and it was WONDERFUL! The next thing-which was probably equal-was nipple cream and nursing pads. Oh, did I need that stuff. I went through tons of it those first few weeks! The big stuff is great, but the small stuff is what really gets you through those moments.
The thing I got that was a waste was one of those front baby carriers that you wear. It killed my back and my daughter HATED IT. We used it once and gave it away.

Definitely the Boppy pillow. I used it everyday about ten times a day for the first 6 months at least. And I had a C-section too, and I can't tell you how it helped keep the baby off my incision while I was feeding her.

Believe it or not it was this package of scented trash bags for diapers! LOL! I would never have thought to buy them but they are small and they go in the diaper bag and if you are somewhere without a trashcan and have to carry the dirty diaper around with you until you find a trashcan you put it in these and they are scented and you tie them off so that they diaper smell cant get out and they are GREAT!

The book "What to Expect the First Year" I used it all the time! Also Avent baby bottles, Ovol drops for gas, diapers and one of those half round pillows for holding baby while nursing!

A play yard with a bassinet attachment. I had his crib in his room, but for the first 2 months, he slept in our room. It was wonderful! It even had a vibration, sound, and light mode that was activated by remote control.

Believe it or not, diapers. It may seem usual or plain, but mothers go thru those suckers fast!!! They will be sooo useful and the mother will be so grateful. You really can't go wrong with them!

My new wonderful diaper bag that my sis got me! It can be a messenger style or backpack. i can't wait to use it!

diapers, lots and lots of diapers of all sizes. diapers get so expensive so the more you can get from other people then the more money you'll save. plus you will always use them!
