No. I had a whole life plan that included education, travel, career and possibly a long term lover. Marriage wasn't in my plans at all.

So much for my plans, btw. I ended up getting married and being a stay at home mom to three kids. I am hoping to begin nursing courses when my youngest in in school full time.

Its great to have plans, but life happens. Don't go through the only provable life you get with some rigid idea of what it should be, you will miss out on some wonderful experiences. You can't worry too much about something happening or not happening. You just have to live!

When I was a teen, I figured no woman could ever stand to be with me. I couldn't get a date for love nor money. Dunno how many times I was told "I like you as a brother" when I hinted I'd like to date a girl. That continued until I was 21, had 3 years college. I finally said "F*ck you all!" and joined the Army. Met a decent woman - an Army nurse - married her. First time back home with her to see my folks, I hear from several male acquaintances that at least half a dozen of the girls I'd gone to high school with were shocked I had married someone other than one of them - the very girls who'd said they only liked me as a brother. All I could say was "WTF????" And now, 39 years later, I still wonder WTF? Well, the devil with 'em. I've had four beautiful kids, raised two more, and live fairly happy almost two thousand miles from that high school crowd.

Think it? hell I had a t shirt printed up.I swore I would never get married until about two seconds before I said I do.I never wanted to get married because I didn't want to end up like my mom and dad.Always arguing and yelling at each other.I thought marriage caused otherwise reasonable people to act like one of two things.Either beated down little animals or an evil A**hole.Either way I didn't want any part of it.

I never wanted to get married, then again I used to think I was always going to love the single life. I'm glad I grew up. I would never know what happiness was without my kids for my man.

HA, funny you should ask. When I was about 13, I was at a wedding and the bride wanted me to go outside with a group of ladies to catch the flowers. I told her, "NO I'm not ever going to get married". I go outside and catch the flowers! lol... about 7 years later I got married. n

LOL.. I can remember thinking I'd never be 20.. or my gosh, 30!!! giggle... and a time when I thought such things as kissing was gross and could give you cooties! LOL...

But, you probably mean that it seems to take forever to find that special someone? Don't worry, the wait is worth it.

Yes, I was conviced I would be alone the rest of my life. I figured since nothing ever worked out before, why would it work out now? I figured I would grow old alone, even though I was smart, attractive etc.

Everyone feels that way sometimes. But remember, just because you can't see your future, doesn't mean you don't have one.....
