Only if it is a serious question and I believe that what I have to say is better than all the other answers. My concern at this time is not the number of points received but trying to raise my best answer percentage. Giving an answer that can't possibly be best answer is not worth giving.

If it's a 'yes or no' kinda question, one more vote is superfluous, but if you read the 30 answers and your opinion isn't represented, sure.
Nothing is worse than a series of 20 answers "Yes" "Yeah" "Sure" "Uh huh"
Doesn't that make you just yell "Tell me WHY!"?

If it's one where someone just needs one answer and people are just responding for the points.
No I usually don't.
But usually by the time I'm done answering theres about 30 already.

If I like the question and feel I have something to contribute that hadn't been suggested before. I will also answer in a more debated question to clarify for the asker.

Yes, if it's a good question or if I can give a ripping answer.
Makes me wonder now: if your question has more than 30 answers, would you still read them all? ;-)

That depends. If it's a technical question that has been answered over and over again, then no. If it's a "what do you think about...." type question, then yeah... the more the merrier.
