Anyone know when it starts snowing in the denver area usually?

I found posts on Breckenridge but that doesn't help.

There is always snow on top of the mountains but in general you can expect snow anywhere from Oct-April. For some reason the snow in Denver doesn't stick around for long. Get a heavy snow and it will be gone in a few days.

We may get a couple of inches in late Oct. Normally not much snow till after the new year. A white Christmas is rare. Last year was a unusually cold snowy winter. The worse I've seen in 15 years. The mountains will start seeing snow before Thanksgiving

You point out destructive aspects and wanting to get faraway from Earthquakes. specific that hyperlink you confirmed does have an Earthquake "threat" section in Colorado. i've got lived in Denver, CO Springs, and Boulder for over 2 a protracted time. I remember as quickly as could years in the past we had an "Earthquake". They information did a great article on the way it shook one guy or woman's image physique off the wall...and that grew to become into it. the main important destructive aspects are climate proper: twister, Hail, Flash Floods, Blizzards. maximum of which would be arranged for and characteristic hardly been a great concern. i could say the snow is extra stable in the CO Springs section than it is in the north (Boulder, feet. Collins). I stay in Boulder now and that they continuously say we are in for the "a hundred 300 and sixty 5 days Flood", yet once you reside somewhat outdoors of Boulder you may get faraway from the "flood course". Over all i've got no longer had any courtroom situations residing right here.

Though not common, it can even snow in September. I remember it happening at least twice that I can think of.
