Funny people have the gift of being animated, and magnifying emotions. It is true, humor comes from pain, otherwise, comics wouldn't know who to make their act so believeable. Same for actors. That is why it takes intense study, and a tremendous amount of talent to be a success in show business.

I think it is true with some people. My family is large so we had a lot of hard times and young deaths to deal with.to deal we hurt and cry big time.then after the grief process we are very witty and funny. Also from pain we got strengh! Now my older bro deals differently(He was a real tuff guy in his young days) so he hides his pain by laughing at family funerals)Ha Ha! and Billy is always funny(except to his wife)You know how we take things out on the ones we love and she sure luvs him( wed 45years! He is also lots of fun Go Go Go luv the big guy

I don't really think that's true... I know a bunch of really funny people and none of them really come off as being that emotional....
