Hi ,

A friend of mine (male) and I (male) are trying out for the play " You can't take it with you ?". I need a short ( minute or less) scene thats very comedic and will showcase our abilites

do a scene from the play "The importance of being earnest" by oscar wilde.
one of you read John Werthing and the other read Algernon.
in act 1 i believe there is a rather funny scene beween the two.
actually through out the entire play there are selections of scenes between the two.

not to mention that when trying out for a theatre part, this is a good play to try out on.

(although, you have to read the parts just right for it to be funny, so make sure when you read the lines you know exactly what you're talking about)

i did this play my freshman year and it was so hilarious the way the actors read it.

All the other people are saying to keep it how it is, but I think it would look AMAZING short. Trust me, you should go for it. I think you'll love the turn out. It would compliment your face so much :D
