I was 250 miles away for about 15 years, then I was 10,000 or so miles away. Homesick? Not really. I loved the freedom.

My family lives in Washington State and I live in Florida. I used to get homesick but I finally came to the realization that if I went back, it wouldn't solve anything. I like being far away, it's easier somehow.

I live 1000 miles away from my sister, and I do miss her. Plus, the pizza there is so much better. I deal with it by talking to her by phone, and visiting her about once a year. I deal with missing East Coast pizza by eating it literally non-stop when I visit her.
