8-4 cut them some slack Ap state is the Defending Div-AA champ and I bet if they were in the Div-A they would have better records then the bottom 30 in Div-A.

I doubt it. But this does show just how weak the Michigan defense is. This is a combination of Michigan having a poor defense, them underestimating their oppenant, and above all else: App. St. not being a bad team. App st. has team speed and amazing deterination. App st, has a 15 game winning streak, and back to back 1AA championships and probably could hold their own as a 1A team on a consistant basis (I don't know if they could consistantly win against ranked teams, but they probably could post a winning record in my opinion).

As for Michigan, well I don't think they'll go winless, as this loss was avoidable throughout the game, but questionable 2 point attempts, a poor start, and a couple blocked kicks contirbuted to this loss, but those things can be helped. Not to mention Hart missed 2 quarters with an injury.

But all kudos should go to App St. I look foward to to their 3rd 1AA championship.

Not a chance. Lloyd Carr teams have continually underestimated or failed to get properly prepared for lesser opponents for years. They nearly lost to Ball State last year, but did not learn their lesson from that game and paid the price this year.

However, I guarantee you they will be better prepared for future opponents. They have great talent, but their coach is a lousy motivator and they tend to play to their opponents level. 95% of the time, you can get by with that, but every once in a while you will get bit in the backside.

They will still have a winning season, and I will guess they will go 9-3. However, they will never live down this loss.

Nope... Season Opener... Embarrasing looks like it.

However this was a fluke a once in a lifetime chance and App. State took it. Now MI has to go out and win out.

Look on the bright side, when they dont go to a bowl game, they wont have to worry about losing it again for the Nth year in a row.

Nah.

They'll beat Illinois and probably Penn State. After that, everything else is a crap shoot.
