Actually, none of these responses are correct. Amish people do INDEED consult with modern allopathic doctors as needed, ie in cases of major illness; minor issues are treated at home. There are many more genetically based diseases amongst the Amish b/c there gene pool is so small, and getting smaller as so many of the young people have left or are leaving the community. There are fewer marriageable partners amongst those who are left.

they dont do anything. they jus let the diesased patient rest. cuz they dont believe in drugs or prescriptions or anything basically

They smoke the "herbs" that they grow themselves.
