How do I make my own tie?

I'm going to 'micheals' tomorrow to buy fabric, and I want to make a tie with it, i looked it up on yahoo! and google and I can't find a way how to mke a tie, easily, i don't want directions that tell me to but a second hand tie and tear it apart and use it as a pattern....please help!

Making a tie is not easy, not many people will make their own, also because to do it the professional way you need lots of material.
About a yard for one tie if I remember correct, but with that yard you can make more ties too.

Micheals has patterns and people able to tell you which pattern to use.
Ask them if they have an 'easy to make' tie.
