I guess maybe the fact that I'm going to die someday,,,I would rather not have ever known that and when the time comes just go in ignorance...Way too much worrying about what, if anything, is there after death...

Only under one condition would I ever want to "unknow" anything--if I could regain the fractions of time back. All that I know I know for good.

I am a youth worker.
One of my clients was pregnant and in the depths of depression. I had been counselling her about her choice to have an abortion or not. She chose not to, but when she went to have a scan the baby had already died. She had to wait a week to have it taken out and I spent a lot of time consoling her. When her appointment time came she called me from the hospital to tell me she had just gotten out of theatre and was ok. I called the hospital back to find out what time she was coming home so I could give her a lift and discovered she had not been at the hospital at all for several months.
She was never even pregnant! I wish I didn't know that.

There are some things from early life that I would like to unknow. However I have found that pain when faced can be strengthening to self. And perhaps to others.

There is nothing I would want to "unknow". I honestly belive that I know what I know for a reason. And, somehow, if you live not knowing something it is as if you lived in deceit.

this is going to sound a bit ridiculous but
when i was younger i loved santa clause and every christmas morning i would be ecstatic
then one day i found where my mom keeps the presents before xmas and she told me there was no santa clause.
so i'd "unknow" the fact that santa isn't real because i can't remember any other time i'd been that excited

Interesting question...
Knowledge can sometimes act like a virus due to the thoughts that might be triggered by certain information.
Not knowing could be a good thing.

it is a really nice question. but i can honestly say nothing. even the bad stuff.
the only thing i can think really is that i borrowed a pair of expensive trousers from my friend and lost them and just never said anything about it. i found out recently that he had been pretty angry at me even though he never said anything. i thought he had just never noticed.
but even that - i think i feel better for knowing that my actions had an effect. it makes it worth doing things. so no id even keep that knowledge.
im sorry simon.
