No. Being a better person really requires a kind heart and ability to comfort others in distress. I've often been engaged in such a fallacy of big brains = big value. I was often wrong and here on Yahoo answers, I was reminded that "intelligence does not guarantee kindness". I really thought about this and came to a definite conclusion about it's powerful truth.
If you really want to break it down to assessing and evaluating people because the world was ending and you could only take 100,000 people on a space ship, then...
The persons with the greatest potential as measured by the ability to think, possess special skills of need, or are just vital to spiritual or mental health (such as musicians or entertainers of high quality). I don't want to mention any professions by name because every profession is really important and profession doesn't really indicate value of the person, but if in a case mentioned above in which only a few could ride that space ship, you can think for yourself who would be potentially considered "better" for rejuevenating a new society.

I'm fine with you being better than me whether it is true or whether it is false. It isn't something that concerns me. I could give you some examples of how such an outlook will cause suffering in your life, but you are smarter than me and would know that already. I could give you some examples of people who take pride and arrogance in their intelligence and generally how they fare in the world. But you being smarter than me would already know that.
I'm fine with you being superior or me being inferior. They are just words.

My answer is no.
Everybody is smart in his or her own way and being smart has nothing to do with IQ. Going by this definition no one is better than others.

Education is open to everyone. There are great websites and public libraries available to everyone. I don't believe that one person is better then another.

You haven't explained yourself very well, but if you're asking whether smart people are better than those who are less smart, the answer is "no"; they only THINK they are.

Hitler was a very smart man, did that make him superior? Most people think not.
