I keep it real by not letting the government and media frighten me about THE TERRORISTS!!! If I get blown up, so be it -- I won't have to pay taxes any more or listen to morons talk about Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan.

I keep it real by not buying into every retarded fad that comes along and is deemed "hip" or "cool" or "all dat." Part of this is not letting advertising influence what I buy -- that whole crap about my life won't be complete unless I have a certain brand of jeans, or drink this American beer, or get these Nikes that will make me an overnight athlete, or marinade myself in this cologne, or for GOD'S sake switch from Coke to Pepsi or else you'll end up alone and unloved.

I keep it real by remaining the independent thinker my parents raised me to be. I'm never swayed by peer pressure, nor do I alter who I am to make brownie points with anyone -- though of course I can be diplomatic at work by simply choosing not to talk about certain things.

And at 45 years of age, I get a lot of personal satisfaction out of continuing to be courteous and kind to all people, even though a lot of people revel in being crass and egomaniacal and aloof and self-centered and greedy and judgmental and even hostile for no valid reason. That's what you get for no longer having Civics courses in schools.

don't ... i'm a total poser ........ 37 year old has been ....... I bought a Sportster last year and tried to market a biker magazine to all of the Biker Bars and then lost most of my real income at my business and had to quit the magazine and got a bunch of tickets for speeding on my bike .... I guess now I am "keepping it real" by feeding my 2 month old and changing his diapers and playing with him to teach him to stand and crawl and try to talk and play with toys in between throwing him in the crib and running down the hall to my office to answer the phones and conduct my business to pay the bills and not riding my bike and chasing strippers and drinking all week .......

I don't really know. I'm just me hun.
I guess the real answer is, I'm comfortable with who I am.
I'm not trying to be anything I'm not and I always find a way to just laugh and have a good time.
