I have friends named Ji Hye (also seen others spell it Jea Hy) and Ji Euh (dont qute me on the spelling)

Ji or Jea (pronounced like Gee, but with a hard sound on the j, more like dj-ee) means wisdom and Hye (or Hy, or Hi) means "intelligent". I like the way they sound together...as though one name. Ji Hye.

My friends, when they moved to the states, were allowed to add an "American" middle name if they wanted. Ji Hye changed her name to JiHye Olivia Noh, and always went by Olivia. She said she read the name in a book when she was a kid and thought "it was the most beautiful name in the world"

I really dont know what the second part of Ji Euh's name means. I wasnt very close with her, but I know she chose not to add an American name.
