What do you look for when adding people as contacts?

I check out some of their answers, how long they have been on YA's & see if they accept email.

People who are intelligent sounding, and seem to share the same thought train that I do. Or someone so very funny that I want to keep up with what they are going to get into next.

As a courtesy, I usually email the person to ask permission before adding because of all the nutso goings-on around YA lately

When there good at giving advice and they helped me out with a probleme then i'll add them. Oh and it will also help if they got an advatar and atleast 500 points so i know they go on often enough to talk too.

I look at age, i want 19 and older and I look for answers. I look for well thought out , MATURE, and intelligent answers. I also like to choose the Top Answerers for certain categories.

An actual picture as an avatar,or if they add but I'e never seen them then I'll look through their answers,or if they are vegetraian or vegan then I add them,cause I mostly hang out in v&v section.

I'm interested in the types of questions they ask as well as their answers. And if at all possible their age....I'm grown and I feel a little uncomfortable having teenagers as contacts....

They need a profile that interest me, I like to know age. I like to see pic. but thats not the most important thing

most people come to me and I add them back to be polite
or i add people when they contribute to the same cause that i am about
or simply because they know something that i am interested in
