Carr's job security may be shaky, but if he gets fired, it won't be over this game. If he once again is unable to beat Ohio State or win his bowl game, he might be in trouble.

I think if Michigan can manage to go undefeated for the rest of the season and win the Big Ten and win their bowl game then I think he should keep his job. However Michigan has to play Wisconsin and Ohio State, two very tough games. If Michigan loses both of the games Lloyd Carr is gonna get fired. When you have a great running back like Mike Hart, and a great QB like Chad Henne, you have to be able to do better than 9-3. However I dont think that loss was all Lloyd Carr's fault. Michigan's defense was flat out awful and if Michigan's field goal team could actually do something then Michigan would have won that game.

I think that Loyd was on his way out anyway after this season. I grew up in Michigan and moved South twenty years ago where I coach high school football. The Big Ten does not play for the National Championship as the true goal is to win the Big Ten and go to the Rose Bowl. I will say that Michigan is horribly coached year after year. I love UM football, however, they must let the "Rose Bowl" 1970's/1980's mentality leave with Loyd. Penn State fans have ZERO room for talk about UM playing old style football. Paterno probably coached Abe Lincoln and will look even more ridiculous as they have to prop him up in the booth with oxygen attached by bowl season. Same old story though this year though as Big Ten teams like OSU, UM, PSU and Wisky head to Florida and Pasadena in Jan to get whacked once again by the SEC or PAC 10--way too much speed and modern football for the Big Ten.

i hope michigan looses every game (0-12) that way they will have to get rid of him and start acting like the rest of the (power teams ) do you think any other school would take loosing to they rivals every year and keep the same coach /I don't think so and thats make them a winning program every year ...... carr should of been gone two years ago

Carr was already gone at seasons end. Michigan reworked his contract so this is the last year on it. It never mattered what happened this year. I love all the hate from PSU fans. I understand, its gotta suck to lose 8 straight times to one team.
