if you say yes please tell me how you know this. I always thought they were now i heard they are not and i have found 2 in my home. I have a baby crawling around and i have had orkin come and spray 4 times in 2months. wejust moved in to this house also we live in az.

you mean poisonous? no. They can pinch with those claws and will squirt acetic acid solution out their butts (OK, they don't have butts....addomen) but the thing that looks like a stinger.....isn't. Here's a bit more info:

I live near Toronto but my late mom used to live in Bisbee and we saw some ugly critters when we were down there visiting. I remember she used to wax the floors with an insecticide in it and she also had shelf paper with the same feature. don't think that would be good for kids either.

They are harmless unless you have some type of alergy to vinegar. They secret this as a defense but they dont have venom or stingers.
