do you expect to get your money back? ( o _ 0 ) Normally I lean towards never seeing my money again. Why? Because people that ask to borrow money didn't have it in the first place. So I know they're not going to be expedient in recipocating what they borrowed? I said my last statement with a question mark because it's not entirely true. Maybe 60 to 70% of people won't pay up? Your thoughts.

I have at times loaned money without the expectation of being repaid. That is more often than not, and honestly, it has only been a handful of times I have lent a substantial amount. I always realize the risk I am taking, that there is the possibility that I may not be paid back the money. So, I always take into consideration the fact that that may happen. If it is a few dollars, it really isn't worth keeping track. A few times when it has been a substantial amount, I knew the person desperately needed help. So I gave them the money, called it a loan, but gave them the n=money knowing full well I wouldn't be paid back. I chalk it up to all the times I have had someone help me, then disappear before I could even thank them, let alone pay them back. Do unto others, but be careful whom you do unto, no need to be a doormat or an ATM machine and wind up in trouble yourself.

Me, personally, If I ever loan somebody money, I always have the intention of seeing it back. Because I just don't lend anybody any money if I know that person won't be able to return it. You can tell whether they can pay you back or not more like having a faith in them.

Depends on who I lend it to and the situation in which I lend it. If I lend it to a family member, mainly my mom or sister, because they dont have enough while we are shopping, I dont expect it back because I KNOW I am not getting it back. If its my room mate in that situation, I dont expect it back because we have a favor for a favor kind of relationship. My best friend or my boyfriend dont have to pay back because I probably already owe them and if I dont I probably wouldnt pay them back, either. Anyone else had better give me my damn money back, money dont grow on tree's. They are lucky I dont charge interest ;).

After getting burned out of thousands of dollars by my own mother, I now only lend money to to people I expect to pay me back. There are very few people I trust with money.

Funny you asked.... yes I do most of the time.
I have a friend right now that owes me $20 and is avoiding me like the plague. I guess she thinks I will ask for it. Wrong answer. I give from my heart and besides... if I hadn't had it, she would have never gotten it.

I don't loan money. I give it to people that need it. I don't expect them to pay me back and would never ask them to, unless they turned into mooches.

YES I DO! But if someone is just down and out, I do understand and will wait until they can afford to give it back. If it is someone that was just short that day then, GIVE ME MY MONEY!
