Under Article III -- the judicial branch interprets the laws, and as such can tell the executive branch how the law should be applied.

The Court also has powers of Writ (mandamus, injunction, habeas corpus, replevin etc.) that allow the court to issue orders which the executive branch must carry out.

Its not necessarily according to the constitution but according to general principles of the common law and statutes.

First, the judicial branch has the power to decide cases. Because it has the power to decide cases, on occasion, it is required to review the appropriateness of actions taken by the executive branch of government (both in criminal cases and in civil cases).

Second, flowing from its power to decide cases, it has the power to issue orders in those cases directed to the executive branch -- either to do something or to not do something.

I can't answer that question until you provide a complete list of absolutely every action taken by the the current executive branch of the government. Why would I say yes or no without knowing ALL of the facts? Why do YOU form an opinion without knowing all of the facts?

I think a subpoena is one and impeachment is the other, but I am no lawyer.
