Yes, if its a woman for whom they have NO attraction whatsoever. Period. Only situation in which they REALLY want to be just friends. I'm not saying we don't settle for just being friends, but we're not thrilled about it.

Yea, some guys do want just to be friends with a girl--she becomes more like a sister then. But the dynamics can easily change without much forewarning and then it can get tricky. I think it gets a little easier as you get older though, being just friends, because each person is more self confident and self reliant, egos are not as easily bruised.

it depends. I have heard many of my guy friends say: a female friend is a girl, you haven't slept with yet, lol. with that said, I have had the same guy friends since I was in 2nd grade (i'm in my 20's now). I hang out with them often, and imo -- if I were to come on to any one of them, they would sleep with me. Period. That is just the way guys are, most will not pass up sex w/ a good looking gal, lol - it's partly a biological response....that said, you have to do what I do and draw a clearly defined line and stick to it. I don't fool around with them, when drunk, or act like a "ho" when other girls are trying to get with them. The more you stay in your lane so to speak, and the longer you do so, the more they will lay off on trying to sleep with you and come to realize that you might just be the one girl they will never get, even if they secretly want to. it's nice to have males friends w/o a sexual relationship, it's an interesting friendship - b/c I feel they tell me alot of stuff they wouldn't tell their gf's, sisters, etc. and vice versa, I can tell them alot of things to and get a guy's view on it.

Sometimes, i have a few female friends but usualy i do get to emotionaly attached to them and even fallen in love with one or two before now. Depends on the guy i suppose, A lot of men are just Beasts and are just after having sex with you.

Us men usually hate being just a friend as we usually want to be the boyfriend instead of just a friend. The only way us men would want to eb just a friend is if we aren't interested in a woman due to lack of chemistry.

Yes,I can be just friends with girls and as a youngster I spent my time hanging out with both boys and girls with occasions it would be just me and a girl who we both considered each other as best friends.

I see a lot of differing opinions;just my experience as one of being buddies with a man can work,but both have to want to keep it that way.
I've lost a few buddies to not wishing to cross over that line when they did,sigh.(hits head on wall)

Or if they are gay.
Otherwise guys do not talk to girls "excessively".
