You don't need to be put to sleep for a pap smear. It does not hurt. If you have been having sex, then it will not hurt when the doctor inserts the speculum and when he actually takes the smear, it just feels like a rubbung on the cervix. There is no pain. Don't worry. If you have a yeast infection, or any other infection, the doctor will prescribe a cure for it.

IF YOU'VE BEEN HAVING SEX THEN HAVING A PAP SHOULD NOT HURT AND THERE'S NO NEED TO BE PUT TO SLEEP BECAUSE A PAP SMEAR DOES NOT TAKE LONG TO DO.

YOU ALSO SHOULD NOT BE HAVING SEX WHEN YOU HAVE A YEAST INFECTION OR ANY OTHER KIND OF INFECTION. YOU COULD MAKE THE INFECTION WORSE AND EVEN PASS IT ON TO YOUR PARTNER.

IF YOU'RE GETTING A PAP SMEAR DONE YOU SHOULD ALSO GET AN HPV (HUMAN PAPALOMA VIRUS) TEST DONE TOO. WHILE YOU'RE AT IT, GET AN HIV TEST.

No, I really don't think your doctor would entertain the option of drugging you for a 5 minute procedure. It shouldn't cause you any pain, especially since you know your hymen is broken. It sounds like you have either a yeast infection or bacterial vaginitis, but it could potentially be an STI. So, get yourself in as soon as possible and make sure your doc knows you're nervous. Try to relax, it helps.

You can just be put down because you want to be. People die from that. Stop being a baby.

DOCTORS DONT PUT U TO SLEEP OVER THAT. U ARE GOING TO BE JUST FINE,IT WONT HURT,IT WILL BE UNCOMFORTABLE MAYBE,BUT THATS IT. JUST RELAX AND FOCUS ON SOMETHING OR THINK ABOUT SOMETHING TO TAKE YOUR MIND OFF OF IT.
