If no one is hearing what you are saying then its best to seek further advice from your local help sources - If you really can't convince others of your depression then sure you need to see one who knows what its like and offer possible results to deal with it.

Why do you have to convice them? Are you under 18? CAn't you just go get help? Depression does not go away. That is something you have the rest of your life and need to take meds for it. It is not something to be ashamed of. No more than being a diabetic is. If you are a minor, I would go to a school counselor, maybe they can contact your parents and stress the importance of medical care.

i have depression and i go to therapy 2 times a week. my parents were in denial so i tried to draw as mych attention to myself as possible. i slit my wrists and wore short sleeved shirts to see if theyd notice ++at that point i didnt care if anyone noticed. i moved into the hardcore scene and started wearing all black and listening to heavy metal, then one day out of the blue my mom came up to me and told me i needed help.he waited long enough to let my depression advance to severe depression but now im going to therapy and i like that.

no, really, i get it.

I'm looking for a cry for help too, parent's don't care or are in denial. I'd say getting into trouble, but that sure hasn't worked for me, just got me yelled at.

There's a person on here I talk to, name's david k. here's a link http://answers.yahoo.com/my/profile;_ylt=AqFOi6y5n3joHzyyVu9Oenjsy6IX?show=X4tr4Hs5aa

Talking helps...so does curling up in a ball and listnig to music while crying(IDK, does tough)

the only one who needs convincing is you, and it sounds like you are already there. Move forward and forget everyone else, at the end of the day only you know best what's right for you.

Go to a doctor (medical) and if it's nothing he can help you with, he will refer you to a therapist. Then, people will believe you because doctor's notes are worth their weight in gold. No matter how old you are.

Don't stop telling them until they get you help you need! You know your self and what is normal feeling and what is not!

Get help for yourself if you can... Or I guess you can wait until you freak out to get their attention
