Wait... is the friend pregnant or just not telling her mom she had sex?
If it's the first, she really has to tell her mom now, before she shows, and her mom finds out the hard way. It's really the responsible thing to do. You never really know how the mom will react to this until you tell her. If you think she will freak out, she might surprise you. Who knows?
If the friend just had sex and won't tell her mom, then let her. As long as she's not pregnant, there's no need to tell her mom. I'm not trying to say that it's okay to keep stuff from her mom, I'm just saying that if she feels uncomfortable telling her mom, then she doesn't have to.

Is she pregnant? If she is she should tell her mother now so they can discuss her options.
I was a teenage mother and I wish you guys would NOT repeat the mistakes I and others of my generation made. Sex is serious business. You should not have sex just because your friends are or because you think it takes that to keep a guy. Just because your body is mature enough that does not mean your mentally mature enough.

She has to tell her mom. It might be hard but it's the only way. If she tries to hide it from her mom and her mom finds out her mom we'll get really angry. But it really depends on the mom but yea.... tell her to tell her mom NOW. Once she tells her she'll feel better but might get in trouble. But please dont keep a secret from ur mom tell her!

Ooo geez.. I don't even wanna think about that. But as hard as it would b the best thing to do is tell your mother. She can give the best advice and u won't b worried EVERYDAY. she will know sooner or later. might as well get in trouble early and have her help along the way.

Abortion is out of the question. She just has to tell her eventually, It's too late for anything else. It might have started bad, but don't let her make the wrong choice, otherwise she might never forgive herself and ruin her life.

Well, just because she had unprotected sex does not mean that she is pregnant.
If she's not, she doesn't need to tell her mom, necessarily, that she's pregnant.
If she is, then she needs to tell her mother as soon as possible.

Tell the mom of course. She is bound to find out and will likely only be MORE upset if you hide it from her and show your immaturity by not taking responsibility and getting prenatal care.

I wouldn't tell my mother as she'd kill me but I'd keep the baby and get a job to support my son or daughter.
