He's retired !!
Amused to read someone who thought that he served two terms.

I am under the impression that Bush has served the maximum amount of terms he is allowed, and thus cannot run for the 2008 elections. He might however, declare marshall law and make himself the "king", "emperor", dictator (or something like that) of the U.S if some sort of "threatening" event happens. I'm waiting to see if something does happen - if it does I'm willing to bet that he's behind it, or at least allowed it to happen.

No. Why would you come out of a nice comfy taxpayer-paid retirement to have your ego crushed by your own party? George H.W. is way too liberal for the Republican Party that Karl Rove and George W. created.

I don't think there will be another Bush candidate again. George W killed the name so badly the only comparison I can think of is that it's kind of like that little mustache on Hitler.

I very seriously doubt it. I think that Americans, from both major parties, are tired of the Bushes in power.

Unlikely -- he's pretty much retired from politics, and enjoying the perks that come with being an ex-president.
And it's a little late in the game to start trying to get involved now, even if he did think about doing so.

Well, that would be interesting. Yes, Mitt Romney and fred Thompson, should immediately withdraw from the race and support the man 100% responsible for the last 7 years of disaster, Bushie's daddy. Just think what a condom could have done for America!

I think he is done, and after his son leaves office, I think they will quietly ride off into the Texas sunset.
