Silent treatment, at least with the row, you can get it out and there's a chance of clearing it up. Silence is just avoidance.

Personally I would rather be arguing with somebody even though I hate arguing with people then to be on the end of the silent treatment. At least with the arguing you know what they are thinking and they are talking to you but the silent treatment is the worst as you don't know what the other person is thinking and it is also lonely as well.

I think loud is better, because you get right to the point and don't have to wonder what the other person is thinking about. With the silent treatment, there is always room to wonder what they are thinking or what is wrong. My brain goes into overdrive with all the negative possibilities when I am faced with the silent treatment.

Silent treatment is worse especially if you don't even know why you are on the receiving end of it. Just like with kids...when they are being loud I know they are okay. It's when they're quiet that I worry about them!

I think the silent treatment is worse. At least you have a chance getting things resolved if you arguing.(speaking) Even if the resolution hurts.
