I answered this one 12 hours ago actually...Here is the same answer I gave. Really depends on what kind of discharge is coming out of his nose!

A clear discharge can result when a desert tortoise is kept in too high a humidity. By keeping the tortoise warm, at 85° to 90° F, the wet nose may dry up on its own. Any given tortoise can have good days and bad days. Stress is a major cause of respiratory infection, so if you observe a clear runny nose, it may be nothing more than a reaction to new surroundings or increased humidity. For instance, one foggy night and my male tortoise will have a runny nose the next day, even though nothing else has changed in his environment. If a tortoise is eating but seems to be losing weight and has a clear nasal discharge, it may be suffering from parasites. Collect a stool sample and have this analyzed. Internal parasites can be treated with a worming procedure.

A nasal discharge of thick cloudy, whitish or yellowish mucus indicates pneumonia, a bacterial infection or upper respiratory tract disease. These conditions are very serious and immediate medical treatment is indicated, including antibiotic therapy as well as additional warmth.

When i went to buy my guinea pig the only one they would sell to me was a little boy with a runny nose, they said hed be better by the next week but when i went back they said he had died, so i am going to assume its rather serious if pets at home of all stores would not sell me a sick animal. Id probly clean up his nose with a warm cloth and then make sure he is warm all the time, eg/ extra bedding. Repeat this and if you see him deteriorating then i would suggest a freindly visit to the local vet, this small journey may save your pigs live :) When their eye is shut it might be because he has gotten some woodshaving in his eye, or hay or whatever you use. It happens alot with my hamster and appears to clear itself up but as he seems sick the eye might be the result of a cold. As he is starting to apear better and is looking happy then just do the above with him and he should bve alright, doesnt sound too sevear to me :)

That sounds like a respiratory illness. You need to contact a reptile vet experienced with tortoises.
