This is a great question! I mean, come on, this song is like 25-30 years old. HOW did this particular song just pop into your head?

why considering most individuals are allowed to date, go steady, and in many states are of age for legal consent at 16? I think at the rate many kids behave today it would be more like your 13, etc. Granted this song was from an era when kids still listened to their parents and respected them. There were many songs back then that would have made a parent thing twice, but listen to some of the rap songs and "rock" of today and tell me they are any better, many are down right disgusting.

That was Ringo O' Starr...at least that's how I remember it. Good song..dunno what the idea was behind the song..it charted and that was enouigh for me to know it.

thats my parents song. my mom was 16 when she met my dad. everytime the song comes on the oldies station they start dancing. its cute.
