How Do You Know When A GIrl is Having Problems?

How do you know when a girl is having problems. Well is cause we in a group for some anatomy class and she just dont seem to care about the work. We tried kicking her out of the group, but the professor said we have to break the ice. So any suggestions to how I can address this? How can I tell if she having problems?

she might be more sensitive than usual, or she wants to be left alone...... you should just talk to her personally or she just has her own issues that she is afraid to handle...

She may be irritable and loses her temper more than usual.
